Following the Pole's impressive performance as a test driver at the Italian circuits of Mugello and Spa earlier this year, Sztuka was contracted by Germany's US Racing team, owned by Ralf Schumacher and Gerhard Ungar.

The Polish driver will compete in seven races as part of the Italian F4 Championship, including the season's opener at the famous Imola circuit, scheduled for May 8.

Formula 4 is a category that comprises several national single-seater racing championship for young drivers. It is deemed to be a prelude to international Formula 3, Formula 2 and Formula 1 events, intended for senior racers.

"This is my dream come true," Sztuka said, as quoted by the PAP news agency.

"For many years, I’ve been working hard to pursue my goal; and my only goal is to race in Formula 1," he added.
